"Then we should stop and fight!" Buffy said as she straightened up on Lightfoot and looked behind her, "Look, you are tense and I know you dont want to get caught...go ahead and find your friend, I'll deal with whoever is following you. Now go!" Buffy commanded of him as she rolled off the unicorn and groaned as she slid to a stop on the ground. Rolling over onto her side, Buffy shot up to her feet and dusted the dirt and forest green off of her as she looked at the hole now in her black sweater and cursed, as she saw a woman heading straight for her head on. Was this who was chasing them? The look in her eye was something fierce as Buffy raised the axe; ready to strike if she dared to go after Lightfoot. "Who are you?" Buffy demanded in her casual tone, though her stance was ready to kick some butt.

Calista ran and ran as fast as her strong legs could take her, before someone caught her eye who stood right in the middle of the forest with a large red axe in her hands. Slowing down, she didnt falter in her stride as she walked forward and withdrew her sword, "Calista the Beast...and you...." she said eying the woman who was dressed in such odd clothing, "Have just come from the temple. How do I know? The marble on your dressing comes only from the temples stone which is a pure white marble....which means you have something of mine." She spoke with authority and moved forward with every intention of cutting the woman down.

No! Ugh! She'll get herself killed, this isn't her Sunnydale. Things work differently here. Lightfoot didn't want to risk this chance of being spotted but he had no other choice. He galloped off after Buffy and just in time, she was facing off a trained warrior and by the look of the woman, the unicorn guessed her to be Calista that he's heard about. There couldn't be a way for Buffy to handle her and he didn't want to wait and find out.
He bugled a warning and came in between them, rearing up as his hooves flashed dangerously toward the woman.

Calista kept her sword in front of her as before her dark eyes appeared a beast....a magical animal which she believed passed into legend. "A unicorn..." Calista said under her breath as she didnt back down but would never dare hurting a precious creature such as a unicorn. Her eyes caught the blue eyes of her opponent and she lifted her spear at her, "Give me what you have stolen from me...if you do not, your blood will be soaked into the earth upon which you stand." The guards of Althena would be arriving soon to scout the area, and if she desired not to get caught this would have to be dealt right now.

Buffy was more then shocked to find Lightfoot in front of her and ...what was he doing? Protecting her? What are you doing? she asked him in her mind as Buffy walked forward and placed a comforting hand on his mane, "Stop its alright." she said softly and looked back at the woman, "Calista the Beast huh? Well Im Buffy, Slayer so now that we are introduced, what the heck are you talking about what I stole?" she snapped at the woman who was quite scary for someone of her time. Was she a the Slayer from this age? Hearing a horn in the background Buffy whispered, "Whats happening?"

The unicorn's nostrils flared. The child stole nothing! What did the woman think she had? Lightfoot was beginning to change his thoughts on Buffy's potential as a Hunter. It wasn't like them to act this way. At the sound of the horn, he pawed the ground. 'Deal with this later, we need to go!' he told Buffy urgently. There was no time for talking and finding out who stole what. The Guard would be upon them soon and Lightfoot wasn't letting the girl out of his sight.

Buffy looked at the unicorn and made a grunt as she patted his back and said, "Alright, but hurry!" she cried and began to run in her high heeled boots with her axe in her hand. Though she was mortal, being a Slayer gave her speed faster then normal beings, and besides, she felt wrong riding on the poor beast's back when she was perfectly capable of running from whatever danger they were in.
